A group of travellers are crossing the ocean, heading for the ‘promised land’ of their dreams. To pass the time, they tell stories … stories about their lives back home … or folk tales that have been passed down to them … stories they will always carry with them, wherever they go …
The White Shining Land is both a powerful visual spectacle, and a moving meditation on the themes of migration, exile, hope, and loss.
We are planning a Midlands tour of the play for 2015, with a cast drawn from members of the community.
